Anyone that has good calibration out of the box will be unaffected, but for those of us who don't it sucks.ĥ years later and the problem still exists. When I calibrate my display through windows, I have to bright the slider all the way down to the bottom setting.Īll im asking is that they use the calibrated gamma setting/profile for users that have had to create one.and not use the default setting unless its the only one. However some games (like this one, and final fantasy 13) reset your gamma to windows default setting, which in my personal case makes the game WAY too bright, even after lowering the in-game brightness to the lowest. The keyboards function keys dont work and I cant find an option to change it. Some games use whatever profile gets created after you calibrate. Ive had a fair amount of success with installing Windows 7 but the one big problem is the brightness. Select Battery (Windows 10) or Power & battery (Windows 11). Windows 7 allows you to do this with "calibrate display color". Press Windows key + I to open Settings and go to System. If you do not see the Format or Picture Tools tabs, make sure that you have. Depending on your screen size, the Corrections button may appear different. Under Picture Tools, on the Format tab, in the Adjust group, click Corrections. Click the picture that you want to change the brightness for. Here you can use the Display brightness slider to adjust the screens brightness. Adjust the brightness, sharpness, or contrast. On Windows 7, there are many combinations of shortcuts to control your computer. Adjust the brightness via the control menu. Adjust the brightness via the Screen Brightness bar at the bottom. Step 2: Here will appear Power Options window. To access this, press Win + X and click Mobility Center. Step 1: Click the Power icon on Windows 7 and select Adjust screen brightness. You can also manually adjust your brightness using the Windows Mobility Center. ![]() If your monitor doesn't have perfect brightness out of the box, or if its outright bad, you will want to calibrate your monitor. Change the Brightness in the Windows Mobility Center. ![]() Originally posted by mucus:The issue is that some games, including this one, force windows default gamma setting.
